Life, Love, and Passports

My baking odyssey

So then life is happening one second, minute, hour and day at a time as it was intended. For the most part I feel like I’m trying to catch my tail and that story never ends. There have been so many changes in my life since the end of the summer break and I feel like I’ve under gone a massive readjustment. I’ve also spent some time just trying to keep things the way they’ve always been and that hasn’t worked out well.

Amidst all the changes the only constant has been my baking. I’m always surprised at how much I enjoy it and the massive buzz I get from a delicious result. My husband and children are my biggest cheerleaders and their praise always fills me with enthusiasm and a certain amount of bravery to try new things. My baking repertoire is growing. I’ve added a marble cake, fruit cake and even banana muffins to my book of successes.

I’ve decided to give my new arrangement with life a go so long as I can keep my baking I’m sure it will all turn out well in the end. Is there anything that a freshly baked homemade cake can’t make better?
